A voter awareness programme was organised at Mukand Lal National College

 A voter awareness programme was organised at Mukand Lal National College under special intensive research under the chairmanship of Dr. Savita Garg, convener of Electoral Literacy Club. This programme was mainly addressed and directed by CT Magistrate Mr. Piyush Gupta. Around 120 students were present in the programme. In the session, youth aged 18 years and above were encouraged to get their voter ID cards made and play an active role in the democratic process. District Planning Officer Sanjay Chaudhary was also present in this programme.
Poster-making and slogan-writing competitions were also held during the program. Ashpreet, Rashi, and Nishu took first, second, and third place in the slogan-writing competition, while Prerna, Bharti, and Muskan won the poster-making competition.
College Principal Dr. Manohar Goyal said that youth are a vital force in the country’s democratic future, and such programs strengthen students’ sense of responsibility as citizens. He also congratulated Dr. Savita Garg and club members Arjun, Mandeep, and Riddhima for the successful organization of the program.
During the program, students also asked questions related to voter registration and the voting process, which were addressed by officials. Present on the occasion were Prof. Praveen Khurana, Dr. Rameshwar Groch, Dr. Eena, and Assistant Professor Neha.
