NSS units organised a two-day special camp on the occasion of Blood Donation Mela.

Mukand Lal National College, Yamuna Nagar’s NSS units organised a two-day special camp on the occasion of Blood Donation Mela.
The first day of the camp began with volunteer registration. Poster-making and slogan-writing competitions were then held. Red Cross Club coordinator Dr. Savita Garg, through a PowerPoint presentation, informed students about the importance and benefits of blood donation. In his address, Principal Dr. Manohar Goyal encouraged students to donate blood and called for spreading awareness in society. Volunteers then organized a blood donation awareness rally throughout the college campus and surrounding areas. They were also assigned various tasks for the fair.
On the second day, volunteers actively participated in the blood donation fair. They registered blood donors, led an awareness march with the NSS team, distributed refreshments and food, cared for the donors, and maintained discipline. Their support led to the successful conduct of the fair, with teams from PGI and the local Red Cross collecting a total of 368 units of blood.
Principal Dr. Manohar Goyal commended the efforts of program officers Dr. Rahul Singh, Dr. Umang Bareja, Dr. Ankur, and all the NSS volunteers for the successful organization of the program. Dr. Shriprakash, Prof. Parveen Khurana, and other teaching and non-teaching faculty members were also present.
