A training program by ICT Academy and Infosys
A training program focused on corporate skills and e-commerce, aimed at preparing students for employment, was successfully conducted at the local Mukund Lal National College from January 5th to January 22nd, 2026. The program was supported by ICT Academy and Infosys.
Over 65 final-year students from B.Com. General, BBA, B.Com. Computer Applications, and B.Com. Tax Procedures and Practices participated in the training. The main objective of the program was to equip students with essential skills relevant to the workplace, alongside their academic studies. The training was conducted by corporate trainer Mr. Bhuvnesh Soni, who guided the students on interview preparation, effective communication, building confidence, and understanding the office environment.
The training included group presentations, mock interviews, role-playing and skits, and simple activities related to online business. These activities boosted the students’ confidence, fostered teamwork, and provided them with basic knowledge of digital platforms. The students reported that the training significantly helped them understand job interviews and the corporate environment. This program demonstrates how such skills-based training makes students more employable in the future.
Following the training, a noticeable improvement was observed in the students’ communication skills and confidence. Dr. Neeti Daryal (Program Coordinator), Dr. Rajiv Kumar Sharma (Project Coordinator), Ms. Nidhi Malhotra (Mentor), and Ms. Taranjeet Kaur (Mentor) provided guidance and support throughout the program.
The college principal, Dr. Anil Dhawan, congratulated everyone on the successful completion of the workshop.
