An Extension Lecture on the Art of Mind Control

THE ART OF MIND CONTROL: A GUEST LECTURE AT MUKAND LAL NATIONAL COLLEGE

The Self-Finance Department of Mukand Lal National College organized an Extension Lecture on the "Art of Mind Control" in collaboration with IHub DivyaSampark, IIT Roorkee. The lecture was delivered by Mr. Sanjay Singh, a renowned motivational speaker and youth guide, on 25th April 2025 in the college conference hall. The event benefited approximately 170 students from BBA, BCom, BCA, and BSc IT and Computer Science.

The resource person, Mr. Sanjay Singh, B.Tech/M.Tech, IIT Roorkee, holds the distinction of ranking 1st in Chemistry in the All India JEE Advanced Examination, has conducted seminars in over 80 premier institutions including IITs, NITs, and various reputed universities across the country.

The lecture focused on how repetitive thought patterns shape our lives and how one can take control of the mind through the practice of meditation. Students and Faculty chanted verses from the Bhagavad Gita under the guidance of Mr. Singh.

The lecture concluded with a brief psychological survey to reflect on self-awareness and mental patterns and the entire experience left a lasting impact on the students and faculty alike. The lecture was successfully conducted under the guidance of Dr. Neeti Daryal, the Head of Department, Self-Finance. Dr. Rajiv Sharma was the co-convener of the same. The principal, Dr. Anil Dhawan congratulated the department for this initiative.
