Eleventh International Yoga Day

On the occasion of the eleventh International Yoga Day, a yoga program was organized at the local Mukand Lal National College Yamunanagar. This program was held in the college auditorium with the cooperation of the college’s NSS and NCC units and students.

The college students as well as academic and non-academic staff participated enthusiastically in the program. The yoga session was organized in accordance with the guidelines issued by the administration. Yoga instructor Mr. Vinod Kumar made the participants practice various yoga postures and explained the benefits of yoga while practicing the methods of yoga. Dr. Shri Prakash elaborated on Yoga Nidra and described it as an effective medium to increase mental concentration. He inspired the students to adopt it in daily life.

The college’s acting principal Dr. Manohar Goyal expressed his gratitude to all the participants and highlighted the importance of yoga. He said that yoga brings stability in life, provides mental peace and makes the body healthy. Yoga develops positive thinking and also makes spiritual connection possible.
