Entrepreneurship Development Club organized BizShark
The Entrepreneurship Development Club (EDC) of Mukand Lal National College, Yamunanagar, organized the ‘BizShark’ business presentation competition on October 12 in the college conference hall. The objective of the event was to foster an entrepreneurial spirit among students, encourage innovation, and provide a platform for them to effectively present their business ideas. The program commenced with Ms. Sanskriti Yadav and Ms. Lavika Katyal briefing the participants on the competition’s objectives, rules, and procedures. Seven teams, each comprising three students, participated in the event. The participants delivered presentations covering their business concepts, potential markets, products and services, financial requirements, and business strategies. An audience of 135 students attended the event, enthusiastically observing the participants’ ideas and presentations.
’Team Radhe’ secured the first position, while ’Team Bhumika’ and ’Team Pearl’ took the second and third places, respectively. Through their presentations, the students demonstrated how new ideas could be transformed into practical business plans to establish enterprises. The competition offered students an opportunity to showcase their creativity, presentation skills, business acumen, and team spirit.
Competition conveners Dr. Sunita Sikri, Dr. Mahesh Kumar, and Dr. Vakil Singh were present during the event, alongside Dr. Bhavna Sethi and Dr. Amandeep Batra. Organized under the guidance of EDC Coordinator Mr. Parveen Khurana, the competition enabled students to understand the practical aspects of entrepreneurship, innovation, business planning, and leadership. The event inspired students to transform their business ideas into real-world ventures and contribute to the vision of an ’Atmanirbhar Bharat’ (Self-Reliant India).
In his address, College Principal Dr. Manohar Goyal stated that such competitions play a pivotal role in the holistic development of students and in promoting a culture of entrepreneurship. He stated that entrepreneurship is not limited merely to self-employment; successful entrepreneurs also create job opportunities for others and contribute to the country’s economic progress. He encouraged the students to cultivate a mindset focused on creating jobs alongside seeking employment, to work on innovative ideas, and to become self-reliant. The Principal commended the organizing team for the successful conduct of the competition and congratulated all the participants.
