Five students created history by participating in a trekking expedition held in Morni Hills

Five students from Mukand Lal National College, Yamunanagar—Ashish, Kartik, Yogesh, Vivek, and Mohit—created history by participating in a recent trekking expedition held in Morni Hills. The students successfully covered the 153-kilometer distance from Kalka to Kalesar in seven days. This was the first time in the state that students had successfully completed this challenging trek, covering such a long distance.

The primary objective of this trekking expedition was to educate students about the importance of nature and raise awareness about environmental protection. During this expedition, the students not only experienced the natural beauty but also understood their responsibility towards the environment.

At the closing ceremony, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini met the students who completed the challenging trek of 153 kilometers from Kalka to Kalesar in seven days. The Chief Minister commended the young people for their courageous achievement and wished them a bright future. He stated that the Haryana government is constantly striving for the all-round development of youth.

Program coordinator Dr. Savita Garg also praised the students, saying that they participated in the expedition with great enthusiasm and responsibility. She stated that this experience will prove helpful in the students’ personality development and will continue to encourage them to participate in such programs in the future.
College Principal Dr. Anil Dhawan expressed his pleasure at the students’ achievement and said that such trekking expeditions play an important role in the physical and mental development of students.
