Mukand Lal National College celebrated the 80th Independence Day with great pomp and show.

The 80th Independence Day celebrations were held with great pride and enthusiasm on the campus of the local Mukand Lal National College. 79 years ago, on the night of August 14th and 15th, India gained independence from British rule, for which thousands and millions of patriots sacrificed their all. The Independence Day celebrations began with the national song, Vande Mataram.
First, the college principal, Dr. Manohar Goyal, hoisted the flag in the presence of the NCC contingent and congratulated everyone on Independence Day. He said that today we need self-confidence and courage for the overall development of the country. It was on this day, after countless sacrifices, that we achieved independence, allowing all of us Indians to breathe the open air of freedom. Therefore, we salute all those patriots. On this occasion, the principal awakened the spirit of patriotism in the hearts of the youth and encouraged them to contribute to the nation’s progress.
College professors and non-teaching staff members were present on this occasion. NCC and NSS students graced the event, and patriotic songs were presented by the Music and Cultural Department. The program concluded with the National Anthem. Finally, laddus were distributed to all the members and students present.
