State-Level Faculty Development Programme on Artificial Intelligence Organised by Self-Finance Department

Mukand Lal National College, Yamunanagar, organised a State-Level One-Day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) sponsored by Directorate of Higher Education (DHE), Haryana on “Artificial Intelligence: Applications, Tools and Future Perspectives in Higher Education Institutions” on September 19, 2026, with the participation of around 150 faculty members.

Artificial Intelligence is playing an increasingly important role in higher education by creating new possibilities in teaching, learning and research. The programme was organised and welcomed by Dr. Neeti Daryal, Head of Department (Self-Finance Courses) and Convener of the programme. The inaugural session was followed by an address by Dr. Manohar Goyal, who welcomed the dignitaries and participants.

Technical Session I was delivered by Prof. Rakesh Kumar, Dean (Academic Affairs), Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, on Artificial Intelligence. Technical Session II was conducted by Prof. Vikram Singh, Dean (Research), Chaudhary Devi Lal University, Sirsa, focusing on Machine Learning. The last session featured hands-on training by Techadd, an AI-based company, Mohali, which introduced participants to AI-powered teaching and research.

The programme concluded with a feedback and valedictory session, followed by certificate distribution.

Dr. Neeti Daryal, Head of Department (Self-Finance Courses) and Convener of the programme, played a key role in coordinating the FDP, with the guidance and support of Dr. Manohar Goyal, Officiating Principal. Their efforts contributed to the smooth and successful conduct of the programme.
