Street play on Viksit Bharat-2047 staged at MLN College under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan

A street play prepared by the Commerce Association (B.Com. Aided) was performed before students at Mukand Lal National College, Yamunanagar, as part of the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan – Viksit Bharat 2047’ (Service Pledge Campaign – Developed India 2047). Staged in the college conference hall, the event drew a large audience of students who enthusiastically cheered for the performers.
The play effectively highlighted India’s development, public welfare, government schemes, and civic participation. The performance showcased various welfare schemes and development programs of both the central and state governments, illustrating how the benefits of these initiatives reach ordinary citizens. Additionally, it powerfully emphasized the role of youth and citizens in achieving the goal of ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’.
The event was attended by College Principal Dr. Manohar Goyal, Nodal Officer Dr. Rachna Agarwal, Head of Department Prof. Parveen Khurana, and faculty members including Dr. Sunita Sikri, Dr. Bhavna Sethi, Dr. Dalbir Singh, Dr. Sumita Kanwar, Dr. Vakil Singh, Dr. Amandeep Batra, and Dr. Anju.
Speaking on the occasion, Acting Principal Dr. Manohar Goyal commended the students’ efforts and encouraged them to actively participate in programs related to social awareness, nation-building, and the public interest. Nodal Officer Dr. Rachna Agarwal also praised the students’ creative initiative and highlighted the crucial role of youth in realizing the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’.
Dr. Jitendra Singh, Convener of the Commerce Association, played a pivotal role in preparing and staging the play. Under his guidance and direction, the students prepared and effectively presented the performance. His efforts provided the students with an opportunity to present social themes in a creative manner.
Following the performance, the participating student artists were honored with certificates by the Acting Principal. Teachers appreciated the students’ efforts—which showcased hard work, discipline, creativity, and social awareness—and encouraged them to actively participate in similar programs in the future.
Through the program, the students effectively conveyed messages regarding government schemes, social development, and nation-building. Additionally, the street play urged the youth to fulfill their responsibilities in building a ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’ (Developed India 2047) and to become socially conscious citizens.
