Workshop Organized by Self-Finance Courses on GenAI

The Training and Workshop team of the local Mukand Lal National College, Yamunanagar, under the Self-Financed Program, successfully organized a one-day workshop on "Building Real World Gen AI" under the IHUB Mukand (IHUB Divya Sampark, IIT Roorkee). The workshop aimed to introduce students to the latest technologies, possibilities, and practical applications of generative artificial intelligence. A total of 106 students, including first-year B.Com., B.CA., B.Sc. (Computer Science), and B.B.A. students, enthusiastically participated in the workshop. The students displayed a special enthusiasm for emerging artificial intelligence technologies.
The workshop’s expert speaker, Mr. Ekumpreet Singh, Senior Manager, TechEd, and AI expert, introduced students to the basic concepts of generative AI and explained the key differences between traditional AI and generative AI in a simple and effective manner. He also highlighted the current utility of generative AI and its potential applications in education, business, and everyday life.
During the workshop, students gained not only theoretical knowledge but also practical experience with emerging AI technologies. Students were encouraged to develop creative thinking and find solutions to novel and real-life problems through generative AI. This interactive and informative session provided valuable guidance to prepare students for the technological world of the future. The program was organized under the able guidance of Dr. Neeti Daryal, Head of the Self-Financed Program. The workshop was coordinated by Dr. Meenakshi Makloha and Dr. Rajiv Kumar Sharma, in-charge of the training and workshop team.
Appreciating this innovative initiative, Dr. Manohar Goyal, Executive Principal of the college, said that in the present digital age, it is very important for the students to have knowledge of emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence.
